AI for Pay Transparency: the new compliance work

The EU Pay Transparency Directive comes into effect in June. Most companies haven't started preparing. This workshop walks you through what's coming, what companies actually need to prepare, and how AI can take the repetitive work off your plate.

Why now

Croatia is heading toward a deadline most haven't planned for

  • EU Pay Transparency Directive (2023/970) deadline: June 7, 2026
  • Croatia has not yet finalised its implementing legislation
  • Companies must have job evaluations, salary bands, and pay information processes in place
  • Burden of proof for pay equity shifts to the employer
  • Penalties are real and reporting obligations are coming
Workshop curriculum

What we cover in 1 hour

Mostly hands-on. Short intro and safety guardrails, then three live demos: data anonymization, gender-neutral job description writing, and pay gap regression analysis. You leave with a prompt template and a structured checklist of next steps.

What the directive requires and what it means for your HR work

Quick context check. We focus on what actually lands on your HR team's desk because of the directive.

  • Pre-employment salary range disclosure and recruitment process changes
  • Employee right to pay information and how to handle requests
  • Gender pay gap reporting thresholds (250+, 150+, 100+)
  • What "equal work or work of equal value" means in practice
  • Job evaluation, salary band design, contract clause changes
  • Annual employee notifications and joint pay assessments

GDPR & EU AI Act for HR

The legal guardrails. Pay data is sensitive personal data. Some AI uses in HR are classified as high-risk under EU law. Knowing where the lines are matters before you start using any tool.

  • GDPR considerations when AI handles employee pay data
  • EU AI Act high-risk classifications in HR (recruitment, performance, pay decisions)
  • When AI must remain advisory, not deciding
  • Documentation and audit trail requirements for AI-assisted decisions
  • Transparency obligations toward employees and candidates

AI tools, privacy, and live anonymization demo

Which AI tools are safe for which work. Which keep your data private and which don't. And a live demo of how to anonymize a real-looking employee dataset so you can use it with AI without GDPR risk.

  • Overview of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, specialized HR tools) and their data handling policies
  • Free vs paid tiers: what changes for privacy
  • Self-hosted and enterprise options when you can't send data outside
  • Live demo: anonymizing a sample employee dataset (names, IDs, sensitive fields) before AI use
  • Pseudonymization vs full anonymization - when to use which

Common questions

Good to know

Is this really free?+

Yes. The 1-hour workshop is free, no strings. We offer paid follow-up consulting only if you want it. The workshop content stands alone.

We don't have a formal HR department. Does this apply?+

Yes, it applies to you too. Pay-gap reporting obligations currently kick in for companies with 100+ employees, but recruitment transparency, employees' right to pay information, and the ban on pay-secrecy clauses apply to everyone regardless of size. Small firms often feel it most because they work with limited resources.

Will we get materials to take away?+

Yes. A structured checklist, prompt templates we used in the session, and a concrete next-steps document personalised to your situation.

Will there be more workshops like this?+

We plan additional sessions, but they are infrequent and seats are limited. If this date works for you, we recommend signing up now - we can't guarantee availability for the next session.

Can we book a private session for our team?+

Yes. In-house sessions are available for any team size. Same content, fully focused on your context. Free for the first session, paid for follow-up custom work.

The deadline is closer than you think.
